Probably didn't hit any cartilage. needle just went through more fat deposits.

Hams will do anything to take attention away from their fat

More proof fats are stupid.
Rhino piercings are rare for a reason. Because most people are not stupid enough to put a very conspicuous piercing dead center in your face. Does she hope to ever, you know, hold down a decent paying job? Because (and I say this as a pierced, tattooed person) that's a quick way to doom most job prospects. Even more lax jobs (like mine) would probably not go for that - because, like I said, there is no way to minimize it. It's right there and you can't avoid it. I mean, I can hide all my stuff if need be. You can't with that. She did not think that through at all. But then again, I'm guessing attention was the point.

I had to let my nose piercing grow shut finally because taking it out for work was too much of a pain and it kept getting infected from it. And I was a cocktail waitress at the time! I can't imagine getting any kind of job anywhere with this monstrosity. And the piercing looks bad, too! Ba-dum-bum-crash

I am lucky in that I work in a field that is generally a lot more lax on body modification (I work in social services - they are generally happy just to have people willing to stay in the public sector, versus private practice). I can get away with a lot, but I know this would cross the line, mostly because of just how distracting it is. It cannot be hidden at all - and I doubt a retainer would work. I am generally a modification friendly person and I find it distracting! It looks so...off. It's not aesthetically pleasing. So why?
For attention, that's why.

God, just when I think they can't get any more stupid I see this

I like piercings, Hel, I used to have a septum piercing and still have a couple in my ears, and I've hung around with people who have some pretty crazy ones, but dammit if I haven't seen that one before. That would look terrible on anyone, fat or skinny.

I had my nose pierced for a while, but septum was always my favorite--with the right jewelry they can be so pretty. I just never got around to it, sigh.
I had a friend who had so many piercings (and a big green mohawk) that he used to make money hanging out on the beach charging tourists to take pictures with him. He never would have gotten a piercing this dumb-looking.

I liked the septum at first, but my feelings toward it mellowed after about a year, that's always a sign for me to move on. That and I could never get mine to stop smelling, it always smelled like a fart or like I hadn't bathed regardless of how much or how little I cleaned it.
I also knew a guy like that, minus the charging tourists for pictures thing (he did it for free) and his mohawk was red XD

I love my septum! I was actually browsing through nice, aesthetically pleasing curated ears, and then this came up. I think most piercings can look good with the right jewelry, but this is just awful.
