My father in law used to do this when he ran the church bulletin. I never could tell him how funny it was to read about meetings in the Pastor's "office". I never went to the "Pot Luck" Dinners or "Prayer" meetings.

Some of these could be necessary. Like the one that says..

"BEST" PARKING RATES IN LAHAINA

It's fully possible they're quoting a review, and not simply adding emphasis. Likewise for the "Clearly refreshing."

The one about the alarm "ringing" makes sense because it may not actually be a striker hitting a bell.

I was reviewing a new quality statement the other day and it read ..."quality" is our foundation... I couldn't stop laughing and nobody else at the table could find the problem. All those "college" "degrees" and they still missed it. When it was pointed out about half tried to defend the usage.
