I thought Thanksgiving was one of those days where the Pilgrims got along quite alright with the Native Americans, made friends with them, had venison, eel, and ale and lived in peaceful co-existence until some Native Americans got the idea they were no longer welcome and started to terrorize settler territories, which to King Philip's War.

These are the same people who would justify Native Americans attacking settlers settlements, because the white man is to be seen as oppressive. I understand that the Native Americans lost what they considered their land, but they did not have any real boundaries that defined it. They were sort of roaming pastoralists.

Even Africans had clearer tribal boundaries laid out to an extent, but in general they had their respective nations, but most existed away from the coastal areas. I though have great pity on the Native Americans, who were quite individualistic and "aristocratic" and lived a rather naturalistic and down-to-earth life, but the course of nature is not always fair and sometimes when you attack settlers you are going to anger them to a point of wanting to become victorious over you.
