The trend has started already and from a long game view its going to be hard for centralized services to compete.

The cost reduction is massvie, open building institute is the housing value prop built from OSE.

Cost of a $800sq house, $10-15k, add additional modules for 2000sq is around $50k and these things can be built in roughly 7-14 days.

Micro factories that can be quickly retooled to produce anything is going to be the norm.

I.e. which will be cheaper, manufacture 1000 widgets over at month and shop from China or have 1000 producers create 1 widget locally to your business in a couple of days.

The same flexibility as cloud computing but for manufacturing.

Speaking of cloud computing the decentralization trend has already started there(storj as an example), ppl love the services but are starting to see that allowing them to be centralized is a good way yo be deplatformed.

Decentralization through blockchain tech.

Bring the wealth back to people through innovation and providing a better and cheaper alternative than living in cities.

If you are geniuly interested do a dive on the open source hardware movement. The first place we need to fix/save is the rural folk, cities are fucked and will/are a souless deathtrap, ie Detroit.
