"We failed the audit, but we never expected to pass it," Deputy Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan That's pretty damn sad that they knew they would fail it. Thanks POTUS for all of the audits!

I agree with you Patriot! Trump comes in, Pentagon does it's first ever audit! No coincidences there.

Everybody's gonna be accountable now. Shape up, or ship out.

Pentagon fails its first-ever audit, official says | Reuters

'WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Pentagon has failed what is being called its first-ever comprehensive audit, a senior official said on Thursday, finding U.S. Defense Department accounting discrepancies that could take years to resolve. '

'Shanahan said areas the Pentagon must improve upon based on the audit results include compliance with cybersecurity policies and improving inventory accuracy. '

'The point of the audit is to drive better discipline in our compliance with our management systems and procedures,” Shanahan added. '

'A 1990 federal law mandated that U.S. government agencies be audited, but the Pentagon had not faced a comprehensive audit until this one was launched in December. '

'In a briefing with reporters, he did not provide a figure detailing how much money was unaccounted for in the audit. '

The audit apparantly doesn’t cover anything but administrative exspenses at the Pentagon

Administrative expenses are where most fraud &embezzlement occurs.

No shocker there. Pentagon has been around awhile... Kinda sounds like the 1st ever audit was a failure.

Let's see... 600 billion on secret time travel project or a whole bunch of $3,000 toilet seats. I'm guessing the 2nd ever audit will suffer the same fate.

Doesn’t include the trillions that vanished just before 9/11?

Lets go ask Rumsfeld about that.

To put Trillions into perspective, you could literally fund an entire nation on that kind of cash. Who knows what they've been really doing with it.

In todays numbers, they have "misplaced" the equivalent of 26,000USD for EACH AMERICAN CITIZEN, that includes the newborn babe all the way up to those few Centennials.

Get angry folks, 26,000$ misplaced, just from the pentagon, for every member of your family, in your tax dollars, stolen and "lost". Wonder what they've been up too.

Y'know, Roddy Pipper famously stated on Twitter that "They Live" is a Documentary. The more you dig? The more you go downt he rabbit holes, the more you really understand what's going on in our universe. The more true that statement is.

It's funny, I like to sit down and watch it as a documentary, a lesson plan, something to study and really understand. Each time I watch it, I learn something new.
