Highly doubt it, even though the tensions between some Americans is fever pitch, with the left expecting rapid change to happen in their favor and the right expecting to enter some new progressive socio-economic and socio-political era united under the flag of Zionism.
If anything, the political factions are trying to unite and there is some bickering going on about how they should go about it, but at the end of the day they will end up moving to the left as a whole and leaving the population that is on the right in the dust. The thing is the population in many ways does not know what true right-wingism is and they leave themselves vulnerable at the end of the day to being receptive to all kinds of trashy social and political narratives and viewpoints.
Its also because the average American is concerned with economic survivability and accumulating more of the pleasures and luxuries of life, without any of it focusing on a greater investigation and apprehension of the structures of reality and nature's flow of information/knowledge. We are trapped in a virtual world and I don't think there is such a thing as a free fall, but there does not have to be for a Civil War to be sparked. There also does not need to be a majority of people supporting it for it to start, as the Civil War was essentially started up in the 1860s by fire-eaters, Northern abolitionists, Abraham Lincoln and his cabinet, and a cadre of Southern plantation owners. I think the main reasonings for such a Civil War would have to be laid out before we actually say a Civil War is going to break out. Petty and very complicated reasonings are not good enough. I think the far-left is upset at the lack of progress in our society in terms of moving towards a more diverse and "open-ended" society, which the left gets to dominate at the end of the day and they feel the "social justice" movement has been hijacked by moralist and do-gooders who want to give a fair and square appraisal of who wins what in a "social justice" case and what is to be considered a legitimate "social justice" case, and the left feels "institutional racism and injustice" are still present on a large scale.
The left also believes that minorities are still being oppressed in a system that has afforded them every opportunity in society and every right on the book. The far-right essentially is getting tired of this moaning and groaning and is trying to focus on revamping the economy and bringing it back to the Homefront and trying to avoid getting entangled in our lapses of decency as it regards our foreign policy. I think one thing that might stir the far-right into action is the amount of social degeneracy in this society and our current demographic crisis, but the thing is that social degeneracy does not phase the far-right as much as it should/does(meaning they are to blame for part of it) and they are fine with the demographic situation corroding as long as they preserve the white race within their respective communities and family groupings. I think the only way that they end up turning in the direction of promoting a Civil War is the rising tide of colored violence throughout North America, the constant stupor caused by being watched and monitored by the far-left wing and federal agencies, and the threat that exists that the current economic gains Trump are making are not good enough(not enough pushing China out of our economic market and the nexus of our financial investments). Its more of a fear of future collapse that could spur the far-right into activity and one more thing, the infiltration of Zionism into our system.
That in and of itself could be the spark that ignites a clash, but both sides do not want to disrupt what is going on, because things are going relatively well for them and even those who feel disenchanted with everything are still relatively well-off in a manner. There is isolated bickering for a Civil War, but its so puny and the mainstream political factions have been pushed underground(the threat of Zionism is not fully understood either) to such a point where I imagine both the left and the right feel quite satisfied, but I do think the far-left and far-right are getting tired of where the country is going and getting tired that everyone else is feeling relatively well off and non-combative about the obvious decay of the country. They are just looking for ways to lean out and gather the support of people that are closer to the mainstream, socially and politically, and that will be a very difficult task, as most people in American society are relatively satisfied and feel like the far-left and far-right have their own internal issues they need to sort out on their own accord.
This means the threat of Civil War is off, since it would require some great social turmoil, economic decay, and/or major war overseas that one segment of the population disagrees with to such an extent they see it as pivotal to the future course of domestic events(which never occurs, but could occur if we send N.A.T.O. into Syria and go to war with Russia in the future sometime).
North America is in a war zone though and both the far-left and far-right know this, but want to avoid clashes and unnecessary causalities at all cost, but all is quiet on what appears to be the Eastern front at the moment.
