Yup. Take a look at the 2017 election results. Vancouver, Vancouver Island and Sunshine Coast voted commie. Remainder of the province actually understands 'resource economy' and doesn't care about bridge tolls. It's the fundamental problem with having such a fucking big province. You're never going to properly represent regional interests. It will always be a Vancouver tyranny unless we split the province, but how else are we going to fund the commies in Vancouver?
The sad part is housing prices across the province are tied to the Vancouver real estate ponzie scheme. What I'd really like to see is the province start to flood the market with cheap crown land (for citizens only). Government shouldn't be in the business of owning more than a pitance of the total real estate.
I grew up in Northern BC and live in the Fraser Valley now. Can confirm, no one down here even knows you exist (you're beyond Hope). At best, they drove to Kelowna once and talk about thier trip to 'northern BC'.
Have you tried converting to Islam or demanding your gibs? That usually gets you on thier radar.
