I'm working safe because I have seen more than enough stupid people hurting themselves.I'm planning to die with all my limbs and digits where they are.Rule one with my job-keep flammables far,far away from me and fire extinguisher handy at all times.I have 2 large extinguishers at home.I know what fire can do.

Haha! Define 'safe' for me.

One guy got his arm ripped the fuck up because his sleeve got caught in a mixer blade. That was a few years ago though.

If I slipped and fell at the wrong time I could be looking at chemical burns with things that have a HAZMAT danger label as long as my arm.

A month ago I wiped my face without remembering to strip off the gloves first. I got a nice set of blistering boils all across the bridge of my nose that took a week to clear up.

No, not really. I work outdoors with machetes, heavy shit, wet ground, knives, pruners and all kinds of fun stuff.

Also, our work truck is a old f150. How this thing starts up every day is beyond me.

If we are talking about external violence I know at least 3 people who kept a gun at work.

Define safe. I'm 13 stories (roughly, the lobby has about a 40 foot ceiling and a plaza has about a 25 foot ceiling) up in a building that's 50ish years old and built on what was the seabed in a seismically active region. The last fire drill we had it took about 45 minutes for me to get out of the building. Those facts don't lend me to believe I'm in a safe location for about 8 hours a day with most of the burnable material between me and safety.

Depends on what you consider safe.
