Naso sounds horrible in German, has no ring to it.
You both have half the truth. Nazi was meant to be derogatory, and part of the pun was the abbreviation as he described.
The last part of your image is wrong though. The Nazis embraced the term and made it their own. Much like we have with Fake News. They used it all the time, publicly and among each other.
NSDAP was the acronym. But as you point out yourself, that's not very ergonomic. So they appropriated Nazi and made it their own.
They used it in official party literature as well. Even minted a commemorative coin with it. Look up "nazi palestine coin" on an image search. Goebbels himself commissioned that coin IIRC. It was certainly struck for a story in his official party magazine.

Imagine that! A socialist party founded by streetfighters that were into beating up the other socialists, known as "communists", got a derogatory name, that is just an acronym of the party name. Side note: Most actual Germans I know and have known say NASI, as it is a more proper acronym.
A: There actually are.
B: You're the fucker making things up.
Anybody who says somebody pointing out a historical fact must be an israeli is either dumber than you, or very much dumber than you, but you are pretty fucking dumb. Maybe par dumb with you.
Nice strawman you got there, you retarded faggot.
I have worked in Africa. Never been to Israel, nor would I ever have a reason to go.

I've heard this too, long ago, from native German speakers- "Nazi" was a stereotypical rural idiot's nickname, like "Bubba" or "Gomer."
NASDAP- the real acronym- doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, but I'm pretty sure "Nazi" was not used by, or within earshot of, party officials.
