Same here! I observed 1337000000 way back in May '12 (just over 100000000 seconds ago!). https://twitter.com/megasecond is great for observing megaseconds.

I am a structural engineer and I collect old steel manuals and machining books. I also have a few letters and memos from old bridge projects here in the States. My favorite one is a change order for the Brooklyn Bridge construction.

I took my teenage obsession with car audio and built a small application that designs subwoofer boxes, even draws a response graph and lays out a cut sheet.

Crap, you said nerdy, this is geeky. Carry on.

Nerdy in my opinion, provided those graphs where bode plots

That's actually awesome and could be profittable.

That's sick. I'm just getting into car audio, myself.

My girlfriend and I skipped our senior prom to eat pizza and watch crappy anime until 4 AM. 11 years later, and I've realized this was a metaphor for our lives.

Had a double date with my Lesbian best friend, both with pretty damn good looking dates too. We decided to cancel on them and go to my house to smoke weed and play World of Warcraft until 5am instead of getting laid.

What's that, and what does it look like? I feel like I should know but I don't :(

DFTBA stands for Don't Forget To Be Awesome. Check out this link for a video explaining a bit about what a Nerdfighter is, and check out v/VolgBrothers to see a bit more of John and Hank (the guys if the video)

Bonus info: John is the man responsible for the recent "The Fault in our Stars" movie, as well as the upcoming "Paper Towns" movie.

I used to wear a binary watch, but it didn't bring in the chicks like I was hoping.

I once added a trace to an AMD processor to unlock additional capabilities. Once again women at the bar failed to line up.

Just today, the sexy lady that eventually settled for me called me a hopeless nerd, because as I was figuring out how best to pay the repair bill for my car, I was unable to stop myself from calculating how many loonies (Canadian one dollar coins) I could fit in a briefcase. The answer BTW is $9982 and it would weigh 147lbs 10.6 oz (in addition to the case).

If that didn't get you all the ladies I'm pretty sure it's no use bringing my 3ds xl to school ;(. Awesome reply though, you might just be the nerdiest around here (I'd say that's a compliment).

Tough one. Regularly solved math problems for fun while mostly ignoring roomfuls of women wearing short skirts? Rewiring my phone and piping it through the sound card of my PC (in the days before cell phones were common, and not for any illegal purpose)? Reading the system's source code when I couldn't find the documentation I was looking for? Pointing out to coworkers how the pages of code that they spent hours on could be rewritten in a few lines?

How did you regularly end up in roomfuls of skirt wearing women?

The study area in the student center of the local university had a heavily slanted female/male ratio
