I see a lot more stretching of the truth nowadays. Google/ youtube pushing the minority/feminist veterans hard today.

If you were never in any danger, if you never felt any real mental anguish- be more humble about your service. If it was just a cushioned well paid job in Germany; you’re not a hero.

Veteran hasn't meant anything since the civil wat.

The troops fight for jews and israel.

Stupid goy.

That’s essentially part of what this thread is saying.

Stupid goy.

nov 11 is always a real bad day for me. it's my wedding anniversary. and in just two weeks it'll be the marking of the day i kept trying to close my husband's eyes and cried over his body to "please don't leave me." he died one year after retiring from the Corps. he was the most humble, amazing Marine and man. not perfect, but he was a great Marine who always looked out for those he was placed in charge of.

i know what you mean about those who want credit just for staniding around for a few years.

You have a real veteran.

To clarify- I mean no disrespect. I mean to disrespect the people out there that enjoy basking in the light created by his/ men like his efforts.

I think veterans day is bullshit to begin with. I didn't stand on those yellow footprints for a free appetizer from Chili's

Exactly!

I have a guy living above my garage right now, he was a marine. He never talks about it but I remember him leaving/ returning in Uniform.

Then I work with a guy who drove trucks in Iraq for 6 months. Never shuts up about ‘his service.’ Ughhh

I'm a vet. I've met people that lied about their deployments or greatly exaggerated it. It sickens me. People tend to listen and praise the liars and the pieces of shit that served or they give other vets a bad name because of their lies. Humility is lost on some it seems.

There's 'veteran' and then there's 'combat veteran'.
