If they are as smart as you say they wouldn't support a losing strategy... you can have them as smart and manipulative or as ideologically obsessed but you cant have both. If they support ideology they lose seats, which means power, a master of cloak and dagger wouldn't let that happen. They would sacrifice ideology in order to gain power.

The problem they have is they can't use cloak and dagger now that they've been elected. If Pelosi regains power, then cloak and dagger worked to get elected. Now they have to actually do something to get re-elected as I doubt cloak and dagger will work for re-election.

We'll know soon enough if the dems elected are actual moderates or not.

I expect them to go where the money is. As long as they do that, it should steer them away from socialist ideology. At the very least it should steer them away from open borders as that is a very losing issues. Even 80 percent of dems agree with some type of borders. I'm thinking that they were headed toward the college progressives movement because they thought it was popular, but now that those candidates that supported those stances did so horribly in favor of establishment Democrats, they should start to correct themselves.

Or at least this is my hope, I dont like the dems, but i at least want an opposition that isnt trying to destroy the country.

They could very well continue on the path to self destruction and eventual restructuring of the left, but I dont think they would knowingly do that, when they know not even their party supports them.
