FWIW, I'm a member of the national press in DC - a news and event photographer. Fortunately, I don't write more than the necessary captions and I am therefore less likely to have the truth edited from my work. Not to brag, but I don't need to work at all. I do this because it is a dream I have had my whole life and to set a positive example for my kids.
The Fake News is real. No doubt about it. Propaganda is its true name and was made legal in the U.S. with the reworking of the Smith-Mundt act under the Hussein admin. Those who peddle the narrative are employees of the larger news corporations - NPR, Bloomberg, CNN/Fox/MSNBC et al. Journalists are quick to defend themselves against these charges by explaining the separation of the "news" side from the editorial and advertising side of their respective organizations. I stopped believing that fairy tale decades ago.
"...and any of you who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job." DC is one of the most expensive places in the country to live. And no one wants to get fired. I see the self censorship among my colleagues and I must also watch my tongue around certain groups. I'm a freelancer, I can't be "fired." However, I could lose the access I am granted through my various clients if they should decide I'm no longer their guy.

Thank you for that insight. Interesting you can learn things happening in your own country.
Unfortunately many schools these days are simply indoctrination factories (that are not STEM based), so I'm unsure anything Swinton related would be in anything current. I'd love to be proved wrong, however.

Absolutely awe-some, painful TRUTH! I've lived one absolute truth my whole life: I can handle Anything, as long as I know the Truth of the matter. That's why life has always seemed so separate from "me" - Truth is hard to find, in a world of liars. Don't know if this makes any sense to you, but it's poetic justice to me. Cheers to You!
