One of the best relationships I have had, also the longest one she was well read. Loved discussing books and authors with her. She introduced me to so many great works and hopefully I did the same. God, I miss quiet and cozy evenings just her and I enjoying each other's silence while both reading a good book. Ever since that relationship I always inquire if they read while on the first date.

Personally I love Russian literature. Anything by Dostoevsky especially Brothers Karamazov and a little novella called Poor Folk. I can also recommend Chekhov and Turgenev.

Some of my favorites have been Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and Christopher Buckley's Florence of Arabia. My favorite characters in the last one are Dominique Delame-Noir and Bobby Thibodeaux. Here's a sample https://books.google.com/books?id=29rABAAAQBAJ&pg=PT52&lpg=PT52&dq=florence+of+arabia+dominique+delame+noir&source=bl&ots=29r6M9u8JA&sig=-vELEGCfS5r7QFpyDRgz7VcpPW4&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjGrrrMh77eAhUKcq0KHdjCDOsQ6AEwAnoECAcQAQ#v=snippet&q=florence%20of%20arabia%20dominique%20delame-noir&f=false

Oh, and sharing a good book. "You've got to read this when I'm done". <3

We always shared books. Was just like our very own intimate book club.

They say beauty is common. As a woman, you'll desperately want to remember this.

Here's a neat little secret: intelligent display is one of the most attractive things a woman can do to make herself more worthy in the eyes of a man. Intelligence is widely encompassing, and a woman who can show she can be intelligent indicates so much to a man that PLENTY will overlook imperfections for the sake of having someone to talk to, someone that doesn't need to be shown how to keep kids safe, and someone who's competent enough to provide for a family should a man be injured or otherwise incapable of work.

Beauty fades, wisdom grows.

I don't look as young as I did 20 years ago, but I keep getting better.

Exactly. Putting attractive women on pedestals dilutes all women.

The ones that are top tier attractive tend to be over socialized and watered down.

When one remembers beauty is common, they can certainly still appreciate beauty, but what's most important is recognizing there are more important qualities to look for at times.

She said well read, not widely read. They publish anything, these days. Reading most of what's in corporate chain bookstores is no more intellectually stimulating than reading Buzzfeed.
