This is much less impressive on a unicycle, but would be much more impressive with a trike.

Humans are awesome - they will always participate in "hold my beer, watch this" even though they know danger is involved.

How much is it slowed down/how fast is he actually going?

He has to be going about that fast, because he needs the forward moving momentum of the bike to make that leap. This isn't a stunt that could be done at really slow speeds.

That's the beauty of it. There's not much variation in how this could successfully be done. Nice benchmark, actually.

This is me when I go to respond to a nasty comment and then decide I can't be fucked.

My son could probably do something similar, but on a mountain bike. His goal used to be becoming a pro rider, but that ended at the exact same time that he broke a collarbone. He could, probably still can, do all sorts of neat tricks, like climbing stairs sideways or bunny hopping up onto railings. He could hop up inclines, or down them, on just his back tire.

He was pretty good but his downfall is that he is also an idiot. His very first sanctioned race, he tried to best the times of the professionals when he was an amateur and the race course was already in shambles. He hit the first major corner at speeds like twice the speeds I saw the pros do it. He bit it pretty hard and broke his collarbone. It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen him do.
