I totaly think this guys response is out of the question a hyperbole. In my state and town I know for a fact lane splitting is illegal, if you're on the road you have to follow the same rules as cars no matter how many wheels you have or if you have a motor or not. It is also a town that the lights rarely back up more than 4-5 cars so at that point is it still that bad for motorcycles to wait with the res of the cars. I know when I drive I watch out for motorcycles, but I've heard to many horror stories about this turning into a face meets asphalt story to really think its worth it.Shit I know I have the right away on a green light, but if someone is barreling through their red light at 85mph I might be in the right, but I'll be dead if I pull my car out in front of them. I'd take it the same way with this yeah everyone should understand that doing what you're doing is better for your motorcycle and traffic, but they wont so I wouldn't lane split just for the sake of not wanting to be another face meets asphalt story. I mean this in a "I don't want to see you dead" kind of way not a "I think I'm better because I have 4 wheels" kind of way.

LOL punch a man wearing a helmet.

Also, your CSS makes this sub unreadable.

Not my CSS, but I just did a little test and if you have Voat's night mode on, then you're right, the font for unread posts is very light, just barely readable. Maybe the mods can take a look at that.

Or, another option is to disable custom subverse styles in the settings (click the gear icon to the right of your username and stats)

I should have figured it was the nightmode. That seems to be the usual culprit w custom CSS problems.

I used to the advantage of Lane splitting in California, where it is legal. Some cagers though that it deserved the death penalty. They would move over to close the gap or open their doors to stop us. Although I never had a confrontation like that.

It's ignorance. I used to think wow, what a douchebag lane-splitting (I didn't even know it was called that) but since I read some forums about how it's safer for bikers to do this at a light and helps keep their bike from overheating, I think it should be legalized everywhere.
