We won't get to experience real creativity until we get to heaven. God has some amazing things in store for us, but not in this lifetime. Prepare for eternity, not this temporary home.
Ha, I mean this statement above isn't my theology.

rofl ok, that makes sense then.
Ya know I once saw someone talk about how guitars are instruments of the devil, because it makes evil music. I don't listen to most rock music by choice these days, it's Satanic through-and-through. But that doesn't make guitars evil. That's the same as saying guns kill people. It just isn't true.
There are PLENTY of mediums to be artistic with. There isn't a reason you can't glorify God with a guitar. Or a paint brush. Or a microphone and camera.
What inspires you? What are you good with? Use it to glorify God, always and in all things.

You are so right. If we are glorifying God, then any instrument can be used to give Him praise. He is Worthy!

I loved to play guitar on the church worship teams. I burned out long ago but still remember what an amazing experience it was playing guitar riffs and an occasional solo and flowing in the Spirit.
I'm pondering Romans 8:28, how God can use everything for good. The rock music I love(d) was all evil, at least lyric wise, but the riffs, the musical talent was great to listen to and be amazed at what someone could do with a guitar, voice, melody, etc.
I'm praying for the next generation of artists that can use great talents and glorify God in a really pure way. Not in cheesy imitative art, but real innovative stuff. When purity will enhance the great artistic works.
What will that look like? I can't wait to see. I want to be a part of it.
