I have enough in the bank that I don’t have to work once I have kids. The Seattle tech market was very good to me - and women are doing well in tech all over.

I might hire a maid to come in every few days - and also perhaps an assistant to help out from time to time so I can pursue life to its fullest.

I sense that perhaps you live in the heartland and that’s a very different place than the city. I grew up in Northern Iowa and if you live in a place like that, you are probably on the right track for your part of the world.

I disliked living in a rural world and changed my situation. It was the military - which admittedly had some drawbacks, but I got a good education and opportunities. It worked for me and I see no reason why it won’t continue to.

You're a country girl with an inferiority complex who watches way too much reality tv.

Nothing wrong w/ being a country girl. Maybe try embracing it and just be yourself instead of bragging about your fantasy of having a lifestyle that includes staff.

Not a fantasy. I made good money in Seattle then moved somewhere cheap. Also — stock options were Good to me. It wasn’t salary so much as a really great stock market.

As for being a country girl, I tend to think I was a girl that grew up in the country but chose to get out of it as soon as I could. I did my time in the city then moved to a pretty fun college town.

It’s all about lifestyle choices. I didn’t take the situation that was handed to me. I chose to change things and worked for it.
