30 FPS is clearly inferior to 60. There is no argument against it. 60 looks smoother and results in more responsive controls. Claiming 30 FPS isn't a detriment is ridiculous. It's like trying to claim that watching a VHS is in no way inferior to watching a 1080p Blu-ray.

Are you serious? It's absolutely a detriment. Nobody wins that way. I spent considerable money on my computer, there is no reason I shouldn't be able to use it. If you didn't, that's perfectly fine too. Set a cap yourself, use Vsync, whatever. A good game will give you these options. Don't enforce 30 fps for PC games ever. There is absolutely no reason to do so anymore.

All you've effectively said is "it's bad because I paid more money"
