I was a registered independent for a long time. Switched to Republican so I could have a say on MAGA candidates at primary time. Didn't see a big reason to switch back. This year it's all about electorally exterminating the anti-american democrats. VOTE RED.

The Democrats haven't fielded a decent candidate in a hundred years, don't think they will start now.

My state allows unenrolled status and you do not need to declare a party in general elections. The only time you do is during primaries but that is only for ballot selection, you don't need to change your status to either party then unenroll later. I like this system as it keeps politicians off-balance. None should ever think they have your vote due to your party status.

So I am unenrolled/independent. The number of times I've voted for democrats is in the distant past and those guys would have been purged out by now. Not progressive enough by the new party standards. I don't answer polls and keep my political leanings off the books. Good luck capturing me in any poll extrapolation.

I like that idea. They should never be able to "count" on our vote, they have to earn it.

It used to be that if one identified more with their party and less with their country they should not be trusted. Current libtards exemplify this. When it devolved into the Uni-Party at warp speed during W, party no longer mattered to me but getting out of view did. Keep the bastards guessing, always. From Thomas Jefferson: "When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty."

When I first registered to vote when I was 18, I never gave an affiliation to any party, as I thought I would vote for the best candidate regardless of party. I'm sorry to say I have never found a Democrat candidate I could in good conscience vote for in 50yrs. I guess I am a closet Republican after all!. MAGA!!!

I totally agree, you give them the benefit of the doubt and the Dems still aren't honest enough to field a decent candidate.

That's probably even better. They SURE don't see those votes going red. Might be even better idea to use their tactics agains't them. Lord only knows how many RINOs we have within our ranks?

Was Independent - switched to Republican to vote in Florida. Straight Republican ticket.

If asked about my choice of candidates I hemmed and hawed - said undecided.

But I trust The Plan,#45 and Q.

I get all of the dem newsletters and stuff in emails and texts. I think im still registered with them as a democrat so I get to mess with their numbers a little and see what theyre up to.

I get stuff too that makes my head hurt when I read it. How do people believe some of the stuff the Democrats sell? We'd all love to live in Utopia, but it doesn't exit, that's none sense.

I think a ton of people are doing this just so they don't have to discuss their views publicly. If people here you're an Independent, they think you're a Bernie supporter and non-threatening to their cause....

I'd rather they think the wrong thing, overconfidence is what cost them the Presidency, let's see what it will cost them in the mid-terms.
