I'm a registered Republican but I have always voted independent depending on the candidates---NOT ANY MORE! #REDTSUNAMI

I like to judge every candidate on their own merit, seems that 95% of those are Republicans, but yes, all red this time, the Dems need to taste utter defeat this November.

Always was Independent, (+30yrs) but switched this year when the Dems totally lost their minds. It was a statement, albeit a very small statement

Every vote counts, even the dead ones unfortunately.

When I first registered to vote when I was 18, I never gave an affiliation to any party, as I thought I would vote for the best candidate regardless of party. I'm sorry to say I have never found a Democrat candidate I could in good conscience vote for in 50yrs. I guess I am a closet Republican after all!. MAGA!!!

I totally agree, you give them the benefit of the doubt and the Dems still aren't honest enough to field a decent candidate.

Unlike Bernie, I'm a Red leaning registered-Independent and have been for many years. And I'll stay that way until the Libs do something about ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.

Maybe the Dems will just die away and we can have left and right wing Republicans? That's good enough for me.

I'm still pissed about the Obama vs. McCain election. IF there was ever an election where there were no good choices at all, that was it. I still think Obama probably was the better man, and that really hurts to say that. Two traitors, but at least one was an obvious traitor.

Obama/Romney wasn't much better.

I voted for Romney, I didn't vote McStain. I just couldn't do it.

I remember back then, that McCain was doing fairly well in his campaign at some point. Then suddenly he started behaving a little bit erratic in some of his speeches. From that point on, it went a bit downhill. It was clear to me that he was not the one chosen to win.

Yes for sure same. And when they do get through on the phone I tell them I’m voting Democrat.

I've been registered independent/non partisan for years. I don't consider it sandbagging as I'm not trying to deceive anybody. I have been liberal leaning and more recently voted democratic. This time around will be voting republican to support the president and the takedown of the deep state and corruption!

Its sandbagging in the sense the pollsters are all liberal and do everything in their power to spin the polls. Independents are hard to put in a box, so it keeps them guessing.

My state allows unenrolled status and you do not need to declare a party in general elections. The only time you do is during primaries but that is only for ballot selection, you don't need to change your status to either party then unenroll later. I like this system as it keeps politicians off-balance. None should ever think they have your vote due to your party status.

So I am unenrolled/independent. The number of times I've voted for democrats is in the distant past and those guys would have been purged out by now. Not progressive enough by the new party standards. I don't answer polls and keep my political leanings off the books. Good luck capturing me in any poll extrapolation.

I like that idea. They should never be able to "count" on our vote, they have to earn it.

It used to be that if one identified more with their party and less with their country they should not be trusted. Current libtards exemplify this. When it devolved into the Uni-Party at warp speed during W, party no longer mattered to me but getting out of view did. Keep the bastards guessing, always. From Thomas Jefferson: "When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty."
