This is not very funny. I mean, first she appropriates Native American Culture, and then now, she is appropriating Native American diseases from yesteryear. She has gone too far.

If this is not very funny, why did I laugh for the first time today? I must be a very bad person.

Hopefully this time a Jewish company won't profit on 'conveying' "Smallpox to the Indian"

That's a good 100 - 150 years before Germ theory is accepted over Miasma theory.

It's not eliminated. A virus by it's nature becomes less virulant over time. If it's killing it's host, it's an unsucessful virus. Pretty much all of the diseases were wiped out prior to vaccines. Look at the deaths per 100k, 100 year long charts. Measles crashed down to under 1% 24 years before the measles vaccine was introduced. Scarlet Fever never had a vaccine and it crashed in the same time frame as all the others. Better sanatation, focus on proper nutrition and better quarantine practices is what changed.
