...As for the virtuous poor, one can pity them, of course, but one cannot possibly admire them.

Lynnmar, I told my husband they are not turning around because they were promised $20,000 when they get across the border or when they reach some city. I just pulled that number out of the air (out of my ass) at random, and I based my comment on nothing more than the vibes coming from the people in a video. $7,000 is probably a more realistic number, but they all looked like they wanted to get somewhere so they could get something. Your comment verifies my hunch.
Certainly will NOT surprise me. I think why would any woman put their kids in such a dangerous situation or Not pull them out once they see the dangers coming.....but if they figure they go 3/4 of the way and get paid several thousand dollars they may do it. I would be curious what 7,000 is valued at in Venezuela or Honduras

Is this legit or are you being sarcastic?

The poverty is too real and heartbreaking, so you have to make up conspiracy theories to let your conscience off the hook. Sandy Hook was too tragic, so you did the same. 9/11 was too hard to absorb, so you did the same. The Holocaust was too profoundly terrible, so you did the same. ... The pattern is so reliable.

Same hoax as with Europe. Those are fighting age men with smartphones and better clothes than many full time employed citizens.
