Just imagine how Seoul citizens feel about this ( or any border towns and cities , but Seoul especially ) ... they have lived for decades in insecure situation where any moment they could experience bombs , shells and missiles raining on their heads from NK side . They must feel liberated on all levels . Secondly , SK has been investing a LOT of its wealth towards its own military to counter the NK threat . Now , they could reduce it a bit , and spend that money on civilian projects , further improving life standard . As for NK - I would honestly say that China should be the one to take care of their needs for now ( and because of the historical responsibility ) . We know that wont yet happen - but China is getting beaten in current economic war .

I actually trained to fight NK as a 12B. We were issued all the cold weather gear needed, and studied NK tactics.

Thank you God for making this man our President and surrounding him with the team he has.

Not tired yet.

Unity and unification on the Korean Peninsula in our time!

A liberated and unified Korean Peninsula will be a massive step forward for world peace. Japan will become much more secure, and China will be forced to reconsider its actions.

Prayers that this keeps moving ahead.

That is AWESOME news! I was stationed in South Korea (US Army) nearly thirty years ago. Took the tours of the DMZ while I was there. It's a miracle to see the news of peace between them now.

Thank you for what you and your countrymen did for the country of my ancestry! Freed my grandparents from the Japanese, and helped my parents rebuild a country. Now the final stage of peace and unification, America wil always have the gratitude of the Korean peoples!

You are so very welcome! I have a deep love for Korea. My first son was born there. Many years later, I remarried someone who is half Korean. We have two children together. (Funny, I speak more Korean than my spouse!) I proudly teach my kids about where their grandmother is from. Some day, I want to take them there and show them around. Korea will always have a special place in my heart. The people there are amazing.
