A fatty's definition of diet culture: because things like weight loss programs and bariatric surgery exist and they make money off of fat people, they're evil.

In reality, you don't have to pay jack shit to lose weight. Count calories using a free app like MyFitnessPal and walk around the block a few times. In fact, you'll probably save money because you'll be eating less.

Today I went to an Apple orchard. At lunch time I checked the menu and everything was 4-7$ except the salad. The one healthy item was 9$. Diet culture = BS

They see people talking about healthy diets and self improvement IRL and online and they hate it. I've seen some fat chicks getting triggered by someone pointing the fact that obesity shouldn't be seen as a beauty standard (after the land whale cosmopolitan cover) because it's actually unhealthy. They started making excuses like "not all bodies work the same way" and "I tried everything and remained the same so stop fat shaming us", but it's actually bullshit. I remember these people from high school, they never refused a brownie and they were always talking about food. Truth is they hate responsibility, and that's why they'll always remain to be disgusting land whales.

Based on the "if there's a commercial for it, it's bad for you" principle, that means there are 12 food commercials per hour.

They complain about the bullshit diet industry that has miracle fixes, they then use such fixes and it doesn't work so they start bitching about it. The cycle repeats

We get lost in our own little bubble here. Almost everyone knows why they’re fat and what to do about it. The rest is all denial and delusion that helps the fats get through another day. Forty percent seems to be the human percentage for incompetence and stupidity around the world for just about everything.

The 'diet culture' is that (in their eyes) eating healthily is no longer par for the course but something radical to be tried every now and then; 'a diet' is something to have a go at for a week or three rather than sustain as a habit.

We're in full mode obesity culture. As evidenced by the fact that 3/4 people are overweight.
