Look at those "Thrill Seekers". They can hardly contain their excitement. ... Looks like quite a ride

Ever ride a CRAZY CARPET?

A thin sheet of vinyl with holes in it for handles

It’s called a CRAZY CARPET because you gotta be full on bonkers to launch yourself down a hill seeking the thrill

I’d tell you how I know this but I’m still looking for two missing vertebrae from my lower spine......., no shit

..oh wait found them, they fused together to make one . ...., uhm....something

I only tell this because thrill seeking can cause serious damage, long term pain, embarrassment and regret.

Still....., life would be boring if we never slid down a hill

They are not smiling because there was no free or cheap health care back then or income insurance. You break your arm sliding down that hill you can't help out on the farm and you lose big time income.

Did everyone forget how old photos work? They weren't instant or good for capturing motion. This is the equivalent of stopping kids from going down an epic hill while you fiddle with the camera for a few minutes to take the picture. All the smiles die.

I guess their idea of fun was different back then. Even at my age I don’t think I could do it not smiling.

This is a text book example of the slippery slope fallacy.
