Is he even trying to win back the crowd? Me thinks he's trying to burn the bitch down.

Even though basically everything he's saying about Pao is wrong. She's got a bad professional history and she enabled reddit's censorship. Yish's brain is lost

It was confusing having read his post and thinking how childish his tone was, then going to the comments and finding a circlejerk of praising or thanking him for clarifying.. clarifying what? Immediately went and signed up for voat, it was the last straw.
Not the CEOs, not the drama, not the content, but the community drove me away.
I predict reddit will become a whitewashed conglomeration of 9gag and the worst parts of tumblr.

Didn't he literally say that reddit was going to be a new form of government for the people?
[–] Grimlock2015 0 points 13 points 13 points (+13|-0) ago
Thank you reddit; Voat wouldn't be were it is today without you constantly fucking your user base.

Starting to see a pattern with ex reddit admins?

How old is this kid? What a bitter insecure little child. This place has to top the list as one of the worst places to work. The top guys there better make bank, as I don't see anyone in their right mind hiring these immature trainwrecks.

I don't buy that FPH was harassing people off-site. Or at least, it would be great to see some proof of that. The FPH mods asserted that they never did and came down hard whenever they found people leaking into other subs. Does anyone know if there's proof or at least an example?
[–] Psycadet 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago
The best example I saw was when FPH had a picture of Imgur admins/staff in their sidebar in retaliation to Imgur blocking fat-shaming related posts from their front page. Of course there was comments directed towards the staff about their size but it wasn't anything different from any other featured submissions (Tess Munster/Holliday comes to mind).
FPH mods certainly did attempt to keep it concealed in the subreddit and never encouraged brigading of any sort. I haven't seen any evidence to suggest that this incident went outside of the subreddit but it very well could've.
Because that's the point in where I think it got personal for the Reddit team, as Imgur was made for Reddit after all, and not long after that all happened is when FPH was shut down by Reddit Admins.
It's a shitty excuse to ban the subreddit but I suspect that's one of the main reasons why they're saying that FPH targeted people off-site.

I do believe upper management has the combined maturity of 12. Really...what ex CEO does this? Chief engineer Bethanye Blount most likely quit because her work environment was worse then most teenagers Facebook pages.

I agree. What is he thinking writing this.
[–] Fuckable 0 points 9 points 9 points (+9|-0) ago
Honestly, I'm pretty sure reddit's crumbling is starting to look a bit more like miniature war, with all the political tangles of it. Yishan seems to have it out for reddit, reddit seems to have it out for itself, various employees are deserting reddit...it's obnoxious, really.
What is he thinking, writing this? I think he knows exactly what he's doing. Gas on the fire.
[–] nbd 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago
Reading this all I could think is wow, Yishan is a fucking asshole.

I agree that they may just be incredibly juvenile, but so many things they've said and done lately feel calculated to alienate parts of their userbase that it's hard to imagine there isn't more going on...
