The Aztecs were hated by everyone else and built a litteral mountain out of the skulls of surrounding tribes. Their main sport required the head of a captive used as a ball. Hardly a culture you would want to be enriched by.

The indigenous peoples didn't believe in closed borders either.

Lol. Oh man, if you want an eye opener, you should read what Columbus did to the Native Americans. Feeding live babies to dogs, in front of their parents, cutting people up for the hell of it. Shit was crazy.

Sounds like you are drinking a bit of kool aid. Look into the Jewish role in the slave trade and how Colombus was betrayed by some marranos (jews pretending they are not jewish anymore).

I agree with you - there isn't a lot of evidence and it seems it keeps getting exaggerated. The best evidence we have is a Dominican priest slave holder who later became a lobbyist to the King against slavery - Bartolomé de las Casas

It would be like if a pig farmer became the face of PETA. Of course they'd say we're mistreating the pigs.

I'd recommend anyone on the fence to read about him with an open mind and consider if he's an unbiased source.

Yeah but really not any worse than what the original Americans were doing to each other. Cannibalism, warfare, slavery, etc. They were also pretty harsh on their environment. That whole myth of the native in harmony with nature thing has been debunked by what we've found in the last decade.

Same deal here in Australia with the "stolen generations". Our ancestors came here and witnessed tribal warfare that would leave a village completely genocided. Every woman and baby had their heads smashed in, some tribes were cannibalistic too. So they set to work on "kidnapping" children from the tribes and educating them with "whiteys rules and laws" in hopes of speeding up their evolution.

I've heard that there are a fare few aboriginals thankful for that colonialism but they don't get any media attention.

Yes. Fuck the, "noble savage." I was just pointing out Columbus's barbarism.
