What is her end goal there? Making sure he doesn't expend any calories?

More likely so that she doesn't expend any calories by having to move faster than a waddle to keep up.

Kids like to go fast. They run everywhere, all the time. I'm assuming it's been like this since the dawn of mankind. If you are too out of shape to deal with it, then you are a shitty parent.

I saw one driving her SUV while her kid rode his or her bike on the sidewalk. No leash though.

Last year I saw this fat mom shouting at her kid because she was having difficult walking up a small, slight incline and he was running ahead. The kid looked so disappointed. It made me sad. Why should your kid have a shitty time just because you're too obese to walk at a normal pace?

What a fitting metaphor for that poor kids life. Over and over his ham mom will yank him back as soon as he starts to excel. Her ultimate hope is that he will be barely mobile and stick around to feed her beetus juice when she becomes too fat to move.

If she didn't tie that rope to the bike she knows he'd ride off into the sunset and put himself up for adoption with a good family
