And now the conclusion....
The baseball ghosts are tired of this movie too at this point. They bail, but as the go Joe reveals his plot all along to drag the pedophile Mann straight to hell personally and coaxes him into the cornfield of death. He’s never seen again.
One last thing, Joe reveals to Ray that his Scooby skills suck and that all of this was so he could have one more chance to redeem himself and not be an unnecessary cunt to his father. Dad is the catcher lagging behind all the other ghosts. He stoops by for a quick chat and to open up a time tunnel that instantly transports the father and son several hours into the future because the dusk lighting looks nicer cinematically than the midday sun. Ghost magic is like that.
Ray is at a cross roads. As his polite chat draws to an end, he’s faced with again being a massive asshole to his dad for no good reason, or he can throw his sad dead father a bone. He opts for the latter after some difficult deliberation and they play catch as two grown adult men without getting bored instantly.
And so we end, showing an endless line of cars on their way to pay through the nose to see a middle aged man play catch with what may or may not be a ghost from their perspective since he isn’t famous and all the other ghosts left to rape the pedophile in hell.

The end.
