Will they have the courage to bend the knee to immense social/financial pressures and do what is being commanded of them by a misguided and overzealous minority? Or will they cave to their principles and maintain their course in the hopes of making a safe haven for free speech, even if it's speech you don't personally like?
My thought is that this is the beginning of the end. However Reddit will shamble on for quite awhile compared to how Digg imploded. There is still quite a lot of good content on Reddit in the smaller subs that haven't yet been dragged into the bigger fight or made the leap to Voat.
