I most certainly agree - but it must be said that the flaws in the hardware do work 'hand in hand' with a robustly 'backdoored' set of infustructure that is at the software and firmware level i.e memory and bios - so without a totally flawed OS the options become much more limited , well less 'automatic' i think
as stated with the MS takeover of 'Linux' that leave Earth with 'Mac' and 'Windows' which nessicates the means and need for a 3rd system.
There's a whole separate embedded processor, with the ability to hijack ethernet. Some even have a 3G cell transceiver in them. Intel ME running MINIX.
i count 'intel' under the 'Microsoft' umbrella. but yeah sure - so basically humans can decide as it's fast coming down to having 'no choice' -
i'd personally rather 'a choice'
well it's variant 'monolithic kernal' {no initramfs} and avoidance of Udev could certainly be the basisi of a system that might provide a less 'automatic' loss of control for the user.
i know nothing about this system quoted here - but without a 'start point' i.e back a the machine code level it's trying to push a big turd up a small hill.
i.e unless it's a whole new protocol that runs on a new set of software {also with optional hardware}, nope.
