Every time I go to visit the first thing I do is grab a book and go enjoy the scenery while reading. Probably one of the most peaceful things I can think of!

This looks so peaceful...I just want to plop down in one of those chairs with a good book and not leave for hours!

That is the first thing I do whenever I go over there regardless of the time! Although watching the sun rise with a cup of coffee is ridiculously peaceful.

Nobody owns the water. God owns - it's God's water.

Why would you say such a thing? This is a submission about a nice lake and a nice picture. Why try to cause trouble by bringing religion in the thread?

It's a quote from Super Troopers.

Imagine someone saying this while really really stoned.

What a gorgeous view! This is pretty much the kind of property I hope to have someday.

It's absolutely worth sharing, and reminds me of a relaxing walk around a local lake with my dog this past weekend.

When you say it's your dads lake... do you mean this lake resides on his property? If so, that's so unbelievably awesome I wish I could have that.

It is a man made lake that the previous owner made with the neighbor. The neighbor moved so the lake is all his now.

That's a huge man made lake! Looks natural.

Sometimes I wonder if people forget

and all that time we spend sitting in a room, doing a job, regardless if we like it or not... working tirelessly

worrying about pay, food, gas/electrical, family, friends, associates, colleagues, enemies

worrying about yourself, your happiness, sadness, loneliness, comradery

Sometimes I think we forget that if we sat for 10 minutes, and stared at this in person, those things don't go away, they just don't matter as much.
