Who the hell logs into any "Google site"? That's like walking in to a TLA, giving them every bit of your personal paperwork, keys to your door, written permission to search anything/anywhere/anytime, etc.

Since Version 69 (released this month, Sep 2018), Chrome now logs you into the browser if you are logged into Gmail: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=17942252

Waterfox is good. The new Firefox UI sucks, and older addons doesn't work in it. Pale Moon is also a good option.

Google Chrome has ability to also examine and download files on your computer. User beware!

Yep. They secretly search your computer in the name of "anti-virus protection." Not sure this was walked back after disclosure.
