Look at the context of this. DeSantis , right after his primary victory made a racist statement. Now one of his team members does the same thing. It looks like he is surrounding himself with the same element . A pattern is revealing itself.. A person is often judged by the company they keep. We never know everything about a candidate and have to determine the best choice by numerous snippets of info about them.
Some will have no problem with racism and even look at it as a positive. Other people will regard it differently. I see a senator as a person who should have superior intelligence and judgement. They are responsible for acting for everyone in their state.Perhaps what DeSantis and his team say indicate how they will use their position.
This applies to any candidate in either party in my opinion.
