You are going through some rough times for sure. Hope you remember that our past does not define us as people, and our hardships can serve to strengthen us. Hold on during these difficult days because you are worth it, and because things can always get better. Good luck to you, goat buddy.

Thanks. Is it rough times for me though, or is the entire world in the same boat? How many people will try and discuss mundane shit thats irrelevant. I already know the answer is its how im looking at the world, but that was almost my entire point. I don't know how to change it. Reddit changed it for me when they censored people and I came here. That literally changed my world view. I don't know that it was for the better though. Ignorance is bliss?

Buy a sheet of acid and do it every day.

I have actually never done acid but I have done shrooms. I actually think this might be good advice.

You may not want to hear this, but your best bet is to clean up your diet (to help your brain heal and think clearer) and find God. If we came from nothing and have nowhere to go, what is life? Why are we bothering to live?

I hate it that you’ve been through so much and had a rough childhood. You have endured a lot and made it this far. Have hope! I believe that you’re starting to move forward just by getting it all “on paper” and acknowledging you are empty.

A mental hospital is not the answer, they will destroy what’s left of you with drugs and white lifeless rooms. You will heal without their help. Don’t let doctors be God. They know very little of the true source of joy and healfh.

Only God is the answer...not religion but God. You must read the Bible for the source of truth, and seek out a conservative congregation who esteem the Bible as true with no man-made religion.

There is no way to get out of this mess without finding your Creator and seeking His help. Know that your struggles come from man’s evils and Satan, not God.

Here’s what I will leave you with. Something I hang my life on no matter how bad it gets:

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 28:11-13 (these are God’s words through a prophet of the Old Testament)

I’m praying for you, fellow goat. You can overcome!

Thank you for taking the time to post. I actually do want to hear it, but I need some help with the diet part especially. I really enjoy cooking, but I have a hard time with nutrition. My parents were fat, I was not. They were always saying I wasnt eating enough when I most certainly was, I think they were just jealous I was skinny. Mom always told me Id get fat too when I got older, but little did she realize I actually have some self control. I am a small fat but have been losing weight recently, i am 6 feet tall 190 lbs currently, my aim is to hit 170 again. What I need is not even a nutrionist, I know what is and isn't healthy. What I need is a guide, that literally tells me exactly what to cook to be healthy.

I feel as though I have found god but my god has nothing to do with the bible, in fact you can't write god or gods words effectively in my opinion. I want to be a good person for god, and what a good person in gods eyes is defined by god, not the bible. I will never accept a mans translation of gods words. Yes I agree with most things in the bible and strive to live that way, but the bible is not god or gods words. I was going to go get a list of all the books that claim to be gods words and ask how you know the bible is correct, but Ive already made my point so its a waste of time.

Thank you for the prayer as well. Even if I don't believe the same way you do, you are trying to use what you believe to help me.

I’ve tried lots of diets and finally found that an old-fashioned traditional diets works best for me. I try to avoid food that is advertised (usually that’s the packaged and sugary junk) and make most of my meals from scratch when I have time. I eat veggies, whole grains, fruit, meat, eggs, raw milk, and some sugar (more than I should...) and I don’t avoid saturated fat (saturated fat is good for the brain). Before all the diet crazes you can find old cookbooks that have simple wholesome recipes. I have two old Betty Crocker cookbooks, one from 1950 and one from 1960. They are both very good.

I guess I’ll have to beg to differ with you on that. The Bible is the only holy book in the world containing around 2,000 prophecies (depending on how you break them down), with most of them already being clearly and literally fulfilled. No once can convince me that anyone by God Himself could have a book wreitten with that much power. If God can predict the future by inspiring the writing of special men, God has enough power to get His will for me onto paper by the hands of men and can even use translators to get it into my language. Look up William Tyndall, he died to get the Bible into English. If I can’t go to a pure translation of the Bible for truth, I’d just be aimslessly picking and choosing what I wanted to believe.

Sorry, that was longer than I meant to write. :) I wish you the best! We’re all on this journey of life together.

The problem is twofold in the culture as a whole has been wrecked by centuries of Liberal philosophy and all of us as humans have been wrecked by the consequences of sin.

The best I can offer is some free reading material. First: St. Augustine's Confessions. Augustine was a right bastard; womanizer, drunkard, the works. His philosophical studies and the prayers of his mother Monica lead to a conversion and he is now considered one of the cornerstones of the Christian faith. Confessions is his autobiography.

The second is Chesterton's The Everlasting Man, which takes a 10,000 foot view of Christianity. Chesterton was writing this in the 1920s when Modernism was really taking off and so he wrote it as one who was a complete stranger to the foundations of Western Civilization and even to mankind to an extent.

The most important thing to remember is that the One who formed you in your mother's womb knows all of your sorrows and loves you more than anyone ever can.

Take positive action. Stay in action as much as possible. Action towards goals. If no goals, then just take action that will impact your own like positively. Action might help dissipate the mental chatter. Additionally, perhaps you might look into sahaj marg meditation. Meditating is the only think I can think of that's free and that can dramatically help you. There's also some other good suggestions on here, maybe better than mine
