Brilliant!
Windows is an albatross. I hate the complex maze of security. You can't strip windows down because everything depends on everything else. Telemetry. WTF? Correct, Unix/Linux is only slightly better.

The only better thing is it's OSS.

Setting aside David's personal issues (my heart goes out), the project is fascinating. A "C64" on modern hardware. If I could bring him back and work with him, I would 1) get hardware auto config further along, and 2) get the gcc compiler working (yes David, we can keep HolyC) 3) get an IP connection going (a browser would require full graphics), and 4) build in some superb encryption. I think that the strongest value of what he did is when folks want a perfectly sterile OS environment (barring the HD firmware issues), maybe very high speed processing for non-graphics uses, and possibly a high reliability up time platform. As much as I love Linux, the multi-user is a PIA. Plus I like the feel of the C64.. why not! Rest in peace David.

Rest in peace Terry.
Also, Is there a copy of the final version of the source?

Terry's unexpected passing has hit me hard. He was a true hacker who accomplished something most of us only aspire to. His illness was not his fault. RIP Terry.
