In very broad terms: there are so many laws and regulations that we are all guilty of a few. If you become targeted by the federal government they can easily convict you on something.

All of the people you see on tv, especially the connected elitists, are evading taxes left and right. Other rules don't apply to them too. If they piss off the wrong person, the hammer gets dropped on them.

Trump is trying to fight from within a corrupt to the core system, I'm surprised he's lasted this long actually. That's the only hope we have of the swamp ever being drained. I'm not holding my breath, but it's nice to have a glimmer of hope, hasn't happened in my lifetime until Trump.

Manafort Cohen says he was ordered to (use campaign funds?) pay pornstars that Trump paid to sleep with.

Cohen didn't really say anything of the sort, he allegedly signed a plea deal that included something about campaign finance violations in it. The thing to remember is people sign plea deals all the time "admitting" to shit they didn't do because the alternative outcome is perceived as worse. The prosecutor could also be looking for something specific for whatever personal reason, they could want their murder conviction rate at 100% for example, so they drop other charges and offer a lighter sentence across the board to get the outcome they're seeking.

Mueller is spending a lot of the public's money - a lot - and he'd better arrest somebody - anybody at this point will do.

To add to that, if you investigate anyone long enough you're probably going to find some violation of the law due to the sheer number of laws on the books. This is especially true with tax law, and it seems to be written this way on purpose. The fact Muller hasn't found anything on Trump yet that he wants to go after him for is rather amazing. If all of the energy and resources that have been spent investigating Trump were instead spent on investigating the federal government, you'd see hundreds of trials and convictions instead of two.

He should investigate his own involvement with Russia and then rat out the swamp as part of his own plea deal.
