ex Riot Games employee Zoe Curnoe shares stories about rape jokes culture in Riot Games | ResetEra
'His original email was then forwarded to a broader studio leadership audience with him removed from the thread. '
'In that meeting, the use of the rape joke was strongly defended, and leadership told him that the real problem was having people at Riot who were too sensitive. '
' He had a meeting with his manager the next day where the manager questioned whether or not he was “really bought in”. '
'He was also told that “Riot was edgy”, and that if we started censoring ourselves, we would just become boring and corporate like other big game studios. '
'The next day, a few of us took our concerns to one of the most senior members of our discipline and relayed what we were feeling as we knew he would support us and would raise it up to studio leadership. '

TL;DR:
A developer was "deeply disturbed" because an allusive joke about consent ("No doesn't mean no") was thrown around in a meeting about hiring more people. Imagine being so sensitive over this sort of worthless trivial bullshit.

I read the whole thing, I’m glad someone posted the rape joke was about not taking no for an answer when trying to recruit from your network.
Would’ve it been better to say, if they say no, keep pressuring them until they agree to join
That would’ve been taken out of context also.
Don’t play their game of trigger them along the way and don’t back down when called out.
