As I grow up, most of my friends focus on the major releases and advancing game tech, where I just hope for another solid zelda game to come out. I have played a lot of games, but none had that fantasy feel that I get when playing zelda games. Luckily my wife hasnt played them, and I have EMUs on my PC, so we can go back to the beginning and play them all in the meantime

Ocarina of time was the first game out of the series that really stuck with me other then Link's awakening, years later Majora's Mask would follow suit.

I was blown away by how much content there really is in MM. My wife and I spent a good 3 weeks playing it every night to finish it 100%. I can take AAA titles now and finish them in less than a day.

I found that pretty hilarious when I read it.

Does anyone else have a really fond place in their heart for Wind Waker? I'm twenty now, but I remember growing up with the Gamecube and just loving the bubbly graphics and cute-intertwined-with-dark storyline.
Plus Ganondorf was just a BAMF in the final boss fight.

The first time I ever played Legend of Zelda must have been in 1988. I remember visiting family in Manitoba and my dad was so mad I wasn't playing outside with playing as I was in my cousin's house upstairs playing Zelda. Holy what an experience. I had never played anything like it. It was a road trip around USA and ended up buying a NES on our way home before entering Canada again.
Actually there is a very good chance Zelda was my first video game experience.

I've played zelda on every consol since the Legend of Zelda. The first one took our family sitting strong at night planning the game together, and drawing maps to get through the first game. I also think Nintendo power was involved. I never finished link's adventure, but after that I beat every game on the consol. So far skyward sword has been my favorite, I like dungeons, and it was my wife's first introduction to Zelda.
I have played a link to the past through probably 5 times, oot about 4, wind waker 2, and twilight 3. I can't wait for the new one.
And so now my current plan is to play through handheld games, currently about half through minish cap.
I love the franchise and Nintendo keeps making it the best out there.

This will always hold a special place in my heart. One of my most fond childhood memories was spending the night and my buddies house, we would get a bunch of junk food and stay up all night talking, joking and would beat the entire game. We did this almost every time I went over and the game never got old. That kind of innocent fun is the thing I want the most for my kids now.
