Every muscle group should rest at least 48 hours for optimal growth. Don't overtrain, it will only slow you down twice a week should be enough.

yeah this is absolutely a fantastic way to fuck your shoulders and back. The are tight in 90% of the North American population just from lifestyle, yet alone without cranking them all day long. The biceps hook directly into your glenoid (the tissue which envelops the head of your humerus) and the coracoid process, which is basically a nub on your scapula that has a profound influence the position of the entire structure. To focus solely on bicep hypertrophy is basically gonna mangle your scapula and dozens of muscles and tissues hooking into your scapula, cause your ribs to to become tight, weaken the scapular adductors even further, and be on the pain train well before 30.

I'm confused with this whole thread. Did I wander into /v/shittyaskfitness?

The right question is how often should you train them. The answer is every day.

I think the more important question is "Is there a time when you shouldn't be training biceps?" When I'm not at the gym or working out at home I'm constantly flexing my biceps, NOT TO SHOW OFF, but for the workout.

Just think What Would Dom Do? Train them all day everyday.

Why would you train arms more than 2x a week? Your time is probably better spent resting.

Once a week doing three to five exercises each consisting of 3 sets. When you train back you are also using your biceps a lot, so in effect you are hitting them about twice a week. Please consider training all parts of your body, because strong legs, back, and core are crucial to maintaining proper form for doing biceps.
