We should use Veuwer instead. It was made for Voat. https://veuwer.com/

Or your alternative of choice. Doesn't really matter.

FWIW, the new landing page is a hell of a lot better than the old one.

THANK YOU.
99.9999% of us don't support FPH. But we support their right to exist and not be censored. Sadly, I don't think our schools are doing a good job of teaching this fundamental understanding.
FYI: I usually spend a couple hours a day dicking around on reddit.....for the past several years. I had never even heard of FPH until it was banned. That crowd is much smaller than people pretend it is.

We should use Veuwer instead of Slimgur. It was made for Voat. https://veuwer.com/

Whichever alternative works for you.

I tried this site several times, but for some reason I can't open it.

I know Imgur was created FOR reddit, but I thought it was separately owned. Why should we avoid it?
[–] frankenmine 1 point 2 points 3 points (+3|-1) ago
Some of reddit's investors have also invested millions of dollars into imgur. They're not independent. When reddit's board makes a decision, they do so with a view to favor imgur and shut out competitors, and vice versa. This is almost certainly what happened with the hard banning (changed to a soft ban, when exposed) of slimgur site-wide.

Archive.today, which couldn't stand up to ideological DMCA spamming, has been superseded by archive.is.
The anti-slimgur nonsense is foolish. Veuwer isn't even up atm.
[–] brainbaobao 0 points 6 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago
Yeah, slimgur's connection to fph means that it won't remove "offensive" content which is very much in line with voat's policy.
[–] frankenmine 1 point 0 points 1 point (+1|-1) ago
archive.is points to the exact same service run by the exact same guy. He's had both domains for a while, along with archive.li.

I don't know if Veuwer supports that, but some of Voaters highly discourage Slimgur.
[–] esdf 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago (edited ago)
Do you know why? I mean, i'm not invested in Slimgur in anyway - i'm just curious.
edit: https://voat.co/v/MeanwhileOnReddit/comments/265764/910842 i assume?

Yes, but they're wrong. We should go with the platform designed for robust free speech instead of the one whose commitment to that hasn't been tested yet.

It does if you're registered.
