Yes, you can swap out drives, but it is a lot of messing around and you can't have two in at the same time. If storage is a problem, buy a Nyko Databank and you can use a 3.5" drive which is considerably cheaper and offers higher storage. I am using a 3 terabyte drive in my PS4 and speed is not an issue for me. Read the Amazon reviews and form your own conclusion. Do not go above 4 terabytes however or you'll run into issues with rest mode especially.
