I ordered the winning novel and anthology. They'll be the first paper books I've gotten in a long time. The editor of the anthology deserves support for putting the collection together the way she did, via Kickstarter - as she is the editor of several mainstream horror anthology annuals, and the kickstarter support cut out the publisher criticisms that handicap her ability to print material that she honestly sees as the best stuff in a given year. Horror is held back, as a genre, by lowest common denominator production considerations. Good horror is often controversial by nature, and controversy isn't as easy to fund as it might sound.
