Thane: Because of the whole I'm an assassin who remembers everything, because of his spiritual side clashing with his entire existence. Because he wanted a chance to fix things with his son. Because of his heroics, and because with his dying breath he wishes FOR YOU to be at peace. fangirling

Favorite: Garrus because of his awesome bromance Least: James. Never really listened to anything he had to say and never took him with me because I didn't like him from the first mission to Mars.

Yeah the meat head vibe clashed with his never ending self pity. They should have made him a 100% arsehole bad ass with a seemingly careless exterior, then show a few moments where he honours the dead like having names engraved on his gun or armour or something. But I guess that would be a copy of Zaeed, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

Tali. Call me racist, but I dislike the Quarian philosophy as a whole. However I feel Tali really grew as a character throughout the series. I also like the mystique of not being able to see her face very clearly (and regret that it was somewhat ruined in 3 by a poorly photoshopped stock image..). She started out naive and charmingly reserved, but gradually opened up over the course of the games.

Also, I think I might be the only one, but I really enjoyed what little I got to know about Zaeed Masani. I really admire that kind of hard mercenary type character. He didnt have to go through with the cliched change-of-heart that most characters like him would be forced to go through. He was consistently a cold and uncaring badass (perhaps due to budgetary constraints, but still, haha).

My least favorite (because I'm a Mass Effect fan and thus can't help but complain at least a little) is that EDI android character from 3...? I liked her much better as a snarky disembodied voice.

EDI is my least favorite too, I liked her until they gave her a body. It felt way too forced and a bit cliché.

Ok I'll play.

1 - Garrus - For one of the best bromances I've seen in a game. From by the book to hard assery.

2 - Liara - For her warmth, initial amusing innocence, passion, and intelligence.

I think ultimately, Garrus and Liara are the most developed characters in the entire series. They change so much over the trilogy and seem the easiest to connect to.
