I would say that is true. From what little I have seen of them Lutherans do pull this shit A LOT less. The levels of "indoctrination" at a Lutheran church are generally pretty fucking low. I mean it's the whole point of their damn sect of Christianity. The philosophical indoctrination is fucking low. Much less the political indoctrination. Debates on morality are not only encouraged between religous leaders vrs other leaders or parishners vrs parishners. A good lutheran minister should encourage his parishoners to think for themselves on their own choices of morality and their relationship with god. And for the most part I've seen indicators that is usually the case.
Generally, Baptists, catholics, episcopalians, mormons are your worst offenders when it comes to political indoctrination at churches. Depending on the baptist church you can get either hard core left wing political indoctrination or hardcore right wing indoctrination. For most baptist churches religion and politics go hand in hand.
