The question in my mind is, if he wanted to get rid of her. Why did he kill her? He could have just planted evidence on her and sent her to the pokey for the next 15-20 years. Stupid is stupid but this is just...

Also, how many wives of police officers end up in prison? Curious about that statistic.

"The national average for abuse of wives is 1 in 4 woman, but if they are with a cop that average becomes 1 in 2 women." Can anyone find a source for this information? Half of all cops' wives are abused? I really would like to have more faith in humanity than that but it gets more difficult every day.

All I can say is that this deserves more attention.

I called the cops when someone tried to kill my brother with a knife I had to go out with my gun, the police didn't care they would not even talk to the guy who was on felony probation for a crime with a gun enchancement, and he was also high and drunk in violation of his probation. The guy threatened to come back with a gun and he was a felon who was prohibited from owning firearms. We alerted the city he lived in and our city's police, they did not want to talk to him or investigate even though he had already tried to kill 2 people at this point. He proved he had guns and threatened more and we told the police, nothing happened.

He went on a robbery spree, the police knew he was a suspect, and they did nothing.

Fast forward a few months, he's scared to come around us because we are packing firearms of our own, but he ends up shooting a highschooler execution style in the back of the head while rolling with his drug-related gang that robs people.

The police knew he was a danger and did nothing. This is common. This is why honest people need to be able to stay armed. If not for my gun my brother and maybe more of my family would be dead.

Sauce: Family of victim was going to court to see Kroll, one of the murderers, arraigned for murder and there were several people there finishing up restraining orders on Kroll after attempted murders as far back as December 2014. http://abc7news.com/news/vallejo-shooting-victims-family-shocked-by-new-development/731653/

Random quotes that were valid/verified: "I asked that the court order (have a) search of his home for firearms as he's not allowed to own them," "He attacked me in front of my home with a knife, he was there for no other reason but to attack me," "Kroll? Ya he's been robbing people. He does some hard drugs. Police know him he's just untouchable," "He's got a history of domestic abuse, he's only 19 but he's done a lot of dirt in his time. He's not a kid he's a monster and he knows what he's doing," "So in our investigation we found that he was frequently in violation of his felony probation and the Police have admitted that they knew he had guns. Shocking."

I've now met many people who have been attacked by kroll, and many of Max's family members (the highschooler that was shot). The more information I get the more it just backs up my thought that the police just don't care about anything but a paycheck.

The sad, simple fact of the matter is this: police departments are being run like businesses, not like public services. Dealing with violent criminals isn't just unprofitable, it's potentially a huge loss, because of the risk to officers when dealing with armed and dangerous homicidal maniacs. On the other hand, drug cases and traffic tickets bring in lots of cash to keep the department's coffers full, so that's where the effort goes. Maybe if you had told police that the dude was carrying around large sums of cash they'd have done something.

I'd sooner blame this on a disgruntled dispatcher than any officers. After all, the police themselves don't receive the calls - and they only ever hear about it if the dispatcher actually dispatches it.
