Uhhhhhhhhh noooooooooo but yeeeessssss
Look man the problem with doing all of that is it makes you appear as though you're a waste of life. Sorry to say it but: appearances are everything.
And yeah you can put off college and go anytime, but honestly you say no now you're going to say no then, you say you won't but you will, and you'll keep saying I can do it later, until it's later and you're a alcoholic coked out 40 year old with 0 life ambition. You'll realize what a piece of shit your life is and you'll probably eat a bullet. I'm morbid as fuck but there's a lot of truth to it (i.e. wife's uncle)
So take a year off have some fun, try not to get yourself killed.

Oh the drugs I used to do.....and still do from time to time. I didn't get hooked, or die, or go to jail. But my friends did. Now at the age of 34 I get really sad thinking back on all the fun and knowing my best friend is so far gone because of coke/ crack that we can't even have a decent conversation. She feels the world owes her all of the time and there is no reasoning with her. My cousin, probably one of the coolest hippies you'd ever meet died from a heroin overdose. Two other friends due to alcohol. And several other acquaintances have met their demise or ended up in prison.
Have fun, just remember some can't handle it. Some will get hooked. Some will die.
And others will go on with their lives and get married and have kids.
If I were you, I'd party, but I'd find a way to squeeze school in there.

The opportunity cost is just so high. You will never get these years back, and time invested now in more wholesome activities like learning something that makes a lot of money will pay off a greater ROI than you will get later. Basically, if you don't think there is a race, you are losing the race.

It's worth it to live (sort of) haphazardly, but always be mindful of the consequences. I know those were conflicting advice but it'll make sense when you get older.

There is nothing wrong with it, however you eventually will grow tired of it. Life tends to make things a little more interesting as you grow older and values change. Some morning you will wake up and you will wonder what it is all for. Then you go to get out of bed and it hurts, not getting out of bed, but everything... your body, your brain, you mind. Then you begin to think about all the things that you have missed out on in your drunken drug fueled sexcapades. Eventually you realize those vices (Drinking, Drugs and sex) are all nice in moderation, but in excess they are there to cover a deeper issue. Enjoy life but keep direction. Don't lose site of the fact that there is a bigger cause and that you did not spend half of your adult life going to school because you wanted to do nothing but drink, snort and fuck.

I like this answer. It's fun for a while but eventually you have to start living your life instead of just existing.

On the societys point of view, yes it is. From a moral point of view Id say it depends on the person and their values, the fact is that doing that certainly brings pleasure but the consequences can be greater and more harmful, why? Doing hardcore drugs and alcohol kill your brain, some of them are addictive and may bring you to bankrupt , you may catch aids (IHV) as well as other std that may not be too helpful to get a long term partner. so how well are you going to do in a society with a damaged brain? Now in my humble opinion I dont think its bad doing all of that as long as you dont get lost on it because whats good trying all those experience if you are gonna end up dead or with no future. Most people will obviously say its bad because its easier to get in than to get out, meaning youre heading to a road with possible a dark end.
