I sometimes think the excuses thing is just a way to tire anyone who mentions their fat. You try and help or criticise and they throw so many excuses at you that you get bored and leave.

I'm addicted to food too. Try as I might, I find I can't resist eating at least once per day. Although I have managed to not eat salty, sugary and fatty food. I manage to keep my weight below 190 lbs. I must be thin privileged.
[–] DorothyMantooth 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
Thin privilege is saying, "No, thank you," to cake.
[–] BestUCanB 0 points 3 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago (edited ago)
Exactly. I have depression, some anxiety, some nerve damage, am deaf and I managed to have lost 130ish pounds in the past 4 years and kept it off.
Oh also did lose while pregnant and afterwards for BOTH babies. Take that fatasses and your shitty excuses!

I'm sorry, but I have to ask. Is every 2018 person depressed? Why, though? Why is it that when the world is at its best point ever in terms of providing for human necesities and comfort, everyone is "depressed"? Most persons, of most countries, have a pretty much guaranteed decent life from the moment they are born, thanks to the way the world is today. So why is it that every person I see on the Internet is so depressed? And I don't mean to be disrespectful, or to imply that mental health is something to joke about, but I seriously don't understand why every-fucking-one is depressed.

Sounds like you might be leaning towards "material goods are what matters." Being able to get necessities matters, but comforts aren't necessarily going to lead to a happy life. Also, what do you mean by a "decent life?" Looking at how politicians in most of the west are working towards replacing the population of the people they are suppose to represent I don't see how anyone is guaranteed a decent life in a way that matters in the coming decades.
I guess there might be some cool new gadgets or something to look forward to.

Not offended at all, this bugs me as well. I’m 35 and was diagnosed at 19 and I’ve desperately tried over the years to find ways to get better but I truly do have clinical depression and I see so many people say they have it but they just self diagnosed themselves. And it makes it hard for me to be taken seriously as truly mentally ill. I do think some people are just faking it.
[–] Runner4lyfe87 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago
Lack on human affection, talking through screens, avoiding looking into anyone's eyes, growing up being told not to feel anything, lack of physical activity. There's a host of real reasons for depression.
That being said, the majority of people aren't clinically depressed, they're just unhappy at times and thus "I'm depressed" as in not dealing with what human feelings they're experiencing at the time. I have a whole lecture on why everyone claims to have some type of mental illness, but it's too much for this type of forum. The gist is we don't know how to feel.

It's because of the massive popularity of social media. Social media is truly a disease. You see all these people doing well and living lavish lifestyles, building businesses, doing big things and you compare yourself to them and you feel inadequate. That is why most people are depressed.
Delete social media and you live a happier life. I truly believe that. Delete that shit. All the instant gratification and mental masturbation shit has to go. Delete Snapchat, facebook, Twitter and Instagram and I guarantee you'll be happier. The only thing I use is Facebook and that's for business. I don't look at what my friends on there are up to because I don't care, and even if I did, how does their life affect me positively in any way? It's just a net negative.

Femayos always have stupid excuses about “resisting beauty standards” like yeah you’re a real anarchist there eating an entire pizza.
[–] Fyourexcuses [S] ago
Right? And that shit pisses me off anyways because sorry, you don't get to decide what someone else can or can't find attractive. I'm also sick of the notion that fat people are better cuddlers. I'm thin and toned. My fiance is lean and muscular. It's far more comforting to cuddle up to his muscles and I know he told me since I lost weight he loves how much closer he can pull me. So they can go fuck off.
[–] Fyourexcuses [S] ago
absolutely! Actually one of the ways I motivate myself to do cardio is to plug in the headphones and watch something. It does help the time pass!
[–] Fyourexcuses [S] 2 points 1 point 3 points (+3|-2) ago
Lol okay then. I’m engaged and have a very happy sex life so I’m good.

Ahh yess, fatty, let the hate flow through you. Then stop eating 8000 calories a day.
[–] ThotsAndPrayers 0 points 12 points 12 points (+12|-0) ago
I especially hate the time excuse. Time fills what you give it. If they truly cared about achieving weight loss, they'd make time for it.
[–] Twentyonepointthree 0 points 6 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago
They have no time because they hit the snooze button for an hour, then have to rush to look presentable (their opinion, not ours), and then have to hit up Starbucks on the way to work, ordering some nonsense that takes extra time to make. We all see them rush into work every day at the last minute with wet hair.
[–] Zoro152 0 points 6 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago
Not to mention you actually SAVE time by eating less, even if you don't want to exercise, it saves time and money to just eat less.
[–] redpilledblackguy 0 points 5 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago
Plus many exercises combine cardio with strength training, (burpees, jump squats, etc)
[–] Fyourexcuses [S] ago
Yes! My days are always full, but gym is part of it because I PLAN FOR IT.
