As Donald Trump seeks changes to immigration courts, what rights do immigrants here illegally have? | PolitiFact

'President Donald Trump has denounced the immigration court system and said immigrants arriving illegally should be deported without a court’s review. '

'"Federal immigration statute (created by Congress) guarantees people a right to a hearing in immigration court," Koh said. '

'"We cannot get rid of immigration judges without revising the Immigration and Nationality Act, which would have to be done by Congress," Marouf said. '

'"To suggest otherwise demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of both U.S. immigration law as well as the U.S. Constitution," Koh said. '

'The credible fear finding can also be reviewed by an immigration judge if the noncitizen asks for such a review, Koh said. '

They do have the right to process my balls in their mouths. That’s the only kind of “do process” they shall receive.

Interesting to see this laid out in black and white. Lots of opinions here on Voat about this and it is nice to see the facts finally.

Absolutely not. They are aliens in the country illegally. By definition they can have no Constitutional rights. The US Constitution quite simply does not apply to them. None of its requirements. None of its protections. One could argue such interpretations are in themselves an act of war against the United States.

The SC says otherwise.

They have no rights, save a meal or two during their deportation. Anyone suggesting otherwise hates America and wants us to become a Mexican shithole.
